The synthetic insulated Torrid jacket is manufactured in Minnesota (United States) by Enlightened Equipment<\/a> and will keep you warm in conditions of humidity, cold, or prolonged drizzle.<\/p>\n

When to use it<\/span><\/h2>\n

In comparison to down, synthetic fiber does not lose its loft when wet and consequently continues to retain the heat you generate. It’s ideal for most 3-season hiking trails (spring-summer-fall). Of course, you can use it in winter, knowing its limitations.<\/p>\n

Use it for hiking peaks over +2000m or to extend the temperature range of your sleeping bag. We recommend its use with a quilt for an extremely lightweight and versatile system when temperatures drop more than expected.<\/p>\n

Design<\/h2>\n

It has a rather simple design and takes up very little space when compressed. It has 2 zippered side pockets to store your things or keep your hands warm inside. Another zipper to close or partially open the jacket if you need to ventilate.<\/p>\n

Elastic cuffs on the wrists and waist that perform their function perfectly and a hood that helps retain heat in cold conditions.<\/p>\n

Made from Climashield APEX and 10D nylon<\/h2>\n

To keep you warm, it uses a moisture-resistant synthetic filling called ClimaShield Apex<\/a>. This high-end thermal insulator is manufactured in the USA and is one of the lightest, most compressible, and efficient you can find on the market.<\/p>\n

The fabric is very soft to the touch. In addition, the outer fabric has a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) coating that repels water, mud, and dirt.<\/p>\n
