Tyvek Ground Protector<\/h2>\n

The Tyvek ground protector by Six Moon Design<\/a> will shield you from ground moisture, dirt, and insects. It will prevent your inflatable mattress or tent from getting punctured by branches or stones. Moreover, you can use it as a rain cover or a wind barrier.<\/p>\n

Tyvek<\/h2>\n

Tyvek is a material made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) fibers and was originally manufactured by Dupont. It’s water-repellent, strong, waterproof, lightweight, and resistant to wear. With proper care, it will last throughout months-long adventures and endure thousands of nights.
\nWhen you hold it in your hand for the first time, it feels like thick paper, but it’s incredibly flexible and can be easily folded. It’s also easy to cut with regular scissors and doesn’t fray.<\/p>\n

When to Use It<\/h2>\n

You’ll need a ground protector depending on the type of shelter you have. Generally, when you buy a tent, they already come with a protective base to isolate you from the ground. But sometimes, it’s not enough, or they simply don’t come with one, and adding a Tyvek ground protector is a good decision.
