Ultralight Trekking Poles
The LT5 ultralight trekking poles from Gossamer Gear (USA) are among the lightest adjustable poles on the market in their category. They have several versions (LT4 LT3), but their carbon fiber design has barely changed, maintaining the perfect combination of lightness, strength, and ease of use.
When to use
They are adjustable from 90 to 135 cm for hikes and can be extended up to 140 cm for use as a support in tarp shelters or camping tents.
Their adjustment system is quick and secure, you just have to turn the tip section to lock it. Nothing more.
Made of carbon fiber
Carbon fiber is known for its high strength and ultralight weight. Compared to aluminum poles, the LT5 are 30% to 40% lighter, as well as being stiffer, which makes them more efficient on ascents.
