Ultralight long-distance backpack made of Dyneema. Lightweight, durable, and designed to carry loads up to 18 kg on multi-day or multi-week trips.
The Junction 3400 is an ultralight long-distance backpack made in Maine (USA) by Hyperlite Mountain Gear.
With 55 liters of internal volume and durable external pockets, it’s one of the brand’s most versatile models for multi-day trekking or week-long routes.
It has a total capacity of 65 liters: 55 liters in the main compartment and another 10 liters split between the external pockets. It’s designed for long routes with loads up to 18 kg.
Unlike the Southwest or the Windrider, it combines tough side pockets with a rear mesh pocket—ideal for drying wet clothes or carrying damp gear on the move.
It features a large main compartment, roomy hip belt pockets, and a roll-top closure to adjust volume depending on your load.
The two internal aluminum stays help transfer weight to the hip belt, improving carry comfort without the need for a full frame.
The Junction uses a highly abrasion-resistant hybrid Dyneema and polyester fabric, with an excellent weight-to-durability ratio.
It also absorbs less water than other ultralight fabrics and, together with its taped seams, offers excellent protection against rain and moisture.
