The synthetic Revelation Apex quilt is handmade in the United States (Minnesota) by Enlightened Equipment. It has been their best-selling model since 2007 and is designed for hiking and bikepacking in wet and moderately cold conditions, where synthetic insulation offers greater safety than down.
When to Use It
Thanks to the Climashield APEX synthetic insulation, it retains heat better in wet conditions and dries faster than down. It is a reliable option for 3-season use, especially in unpredictable climates. The indicated temperature corresponds to an estimated limit of use, not a comfort temperature.
It’s designed for hiking and multi-day trips where reducing weight and volume is a priority. It can be used open as a blanket or closed when temperatures drop, always along with an insulating mat since it has no bottom insulation.

Design
The Revelation APEX is wider than many quilts on the market, enhancing sleeping comfort and reducing drafts around the shoulders. Its length allows it to cover up to the neck without feeling short.
It features a partial zipper in the foot area (footbox) that, along with a cord and snap buttons, allows for full closure when temperatures drop. It includes two elastic straps to secure it to a sleeping mat and keep the quilt in place during the night.

To keep you warm, it uses moisture-resistant synthetic fill called ClimaShield Apex. This high-end thermal insulator is manufactured in the USA and is among the lightest, most compressible, and efficient available on the market.
