The Dyneema® Repair Kit, made by Hyperlite Mountain Gear, is an adhesive kit for repairing small abrasions, cuts and punctures in Dyneema® Composite Fabrics backpacks and tents.
The tape and patches are applied from the inside to cover the damage and help restore water protection.
When to use it
It makes sense as repair material for Dyneema® Composite Fabrics gear that has suffered minor damage during a trip. It is particularly useful for repairing a backpack or tent without waiting for a more complete repair.
It is intended for this type of laminate. It is not a solution for major damage or materials other than Dyneema® Composite Fabrics.
Design
The kit includes one rectangular adhesive strip and two circular patches. The two formats allow linear cuts or small punctures to be covered with a piece suited to the shape of the damage.
Application is done from inside the gear. This keeps the adhesive in contact with the inner face of the fabric while the patch covers the affected area.
Made from Dyneema® Composite Fabrics
The adhesive tape and the two patches are designed for use on Dyneema® Composite Fabrics, the laminate used in certain backpacks and tents.
