The EcoPak Polarity Magnetic Pocket, made by ULA Equipment in the USA, is a shoulder-strap pocket with a magnetic closure for carrying and organizing small items.
It’s designed to keep what you use on the move (for example, navigation tools, a headlamp, or your phone) within easy reach, without opening the main compartment or stopping.
When to use it
Useful on routes where you want frequent access to small items while walking, especially if you already use a pack with attachment points on the shoulder straps. It’s also a good fit if you prefer a fast, quiet closure over zippers.
If you use implanted electro-medical devices, this is not a neutral accessory: it contains magnets, and it’s advisable to consult a doctor before using it.
Design
The main compartment closes with a magnetic flap, designed for one-handed opening and closing. The attachment uses Duraflex Gatekeeper hardware, making it easy to mount on shoulder straps.
In addition to the main compartment, it includes a front mesh pocket to separate small accessories and keep them visible and accessible without opening the flap.
Made from ECOPAK EPX200
The body is made from ECOPAK EPX200, with an UltraGrid 210D top panel. This combination is focused on durability for an accessory that sits exposed on the shoulder strap and gets constant abrasion.
The front pocket uses UltraStretch mesh, intended for small, quick-access items.
