Primelite Pullover

The Primelite Pullover down sweater, made by Cumulus in Poland, is a lightweight insulating garment to use as your main outer layer or as an extra layer on spring and autumn trips. Its standout feature is a minimalist design with no hood and a half-length zipper, designed to reduce bulk and weight.

It’s aimed at fast light activities, long-distance hiking, and bikepacking, and can also work as an extra sleep layer for bivy nights or low-activity moments when you need to retain warmth.

When to use it

It makes sense if you want a lightweight down layer to always carry in your pack and use when temperatures drop. It’s especially well suited to long-distance routes, fast & light, or bikepacking, where weight and packed size are key.

It’s designed for those who don’t need a hood and prioritize simplicity and packability. If a hood is important for your use (wind, long breaks, or harsher cold), it’s worth considering a more fully featured alternative.

Design

The cut is designed to stay in place as you move, which is useful when hiking with poles or handling gear. The high collar helps reduce cold air entry without adding a hood.

The half-length YKK® zipper allows ventilation and makes it easier to put on and take off without adding unnecessary weight. The cuffs and hip adjustment help minimize heat loss in real use.

850 FP Down Fill

It uses 850 FP down with an 85 g fill weight, offering a solid balance of warmth, weight, and compressibility. It’s designed as a lightweight thermal layer for occasional cold, not as a garment for demanding winter conditions.
