X-Mid 2 Solid

It is a Solid version of the X-Mid 2, with dual vestibules, protected doors, and fly-first pitching. For those looking for a lightweight tent under 1.1 kg without moving to a more delicate or more demanding structure to pitch.

When to use it

It makes the most sense for 2-person trips where wind, cold, or sustained rain are a real possibility. It also suits anyone using a trekking-pole tent who wants a simple pitch, with 4 required stakes and no guylines needed in normal conditions.

The Solid version is more geared toward shoulder-season use and exposed environments than a more open option. If you prioritize maximum ventilation in clearly warm weather, it may not be the most logical variant in the range.

Design

The structure uses two trekking poles and a full-coverage fly, with doors that are not blocked by the poles and two side vestibules. This provides clearer access and allows gear to be stored outside the sleeping area without crowding the entrance.

The fly can be raised to improve ventilation, and the doors can be opened in porch mode with a pole or trekking pole. The panels are set at approximate angles of 50–55 degrees, a geometry designed to balance wind performance and water runoff.

Made from 20D Sil/PE polyester

The tent uses 20D polyester fabric in a full double-wall construction. It also features factory-sealed seams, narrow high-precision stitching, additional double stitching, double-folded edges, and bartack reinforcements at load-bearing points.
