The One, made by Gossamer Gear, is an ultralight single-wall tent for 1 person designed for trekking and camping with poles. Its most distinctive feature is the trekking pole tent format, which cuts weight and packed size in exchange for a setup that depends more on careful adjustment.
It is intended for users who prioritize a very light shelter and accept the particular traits of a single-wall tent. It can be pitched with 2 trekking poles or with a dedicated pole set sold separately.
When to use it
It makes sense for solo trips where weight and packed size matter more than interior comfort or absolute simplicity of setup. It is well suited to 3-season routes with a gear setup that already includes trekking poles.

Design
The footprint combines 83 cm of width at the head, 53 cm at the feet, and 213 cm of length, with a maximum height of 125 cm. This geometry prioritizes usable space for one person while maintaining a narrow profile in the foot area.
It features two vestibule doors that can be opened independently or at the same time, top ventilation with velcro closures, and optional external guy-out points. The pitch is adjustable for uneven ground, and the reinforced anchor points help maintain overall tension.

The body uses Custom ClearSkies™ 15D Recycled Robic fabric with 20D dope-dyed ripstop mesh and a SIL/PU coating. It is a lightweight construction with factory-sealed seams, PFAS-free, designed to combine low weight, good tear resistance, and high water protection for its category.
1200 mm waterproof rating and 4,923 mm hydrostatic head. In real use, this does not eliminate the condensation typical of a single-wall tent, but it does provide a serious barrier against rain and external moisture for such a low weight.

The best thing about this tent is how lightweight it is and how little space it takes up inside my backpack. At first, setting it up with trekking poles was a bit difficult for me; you have to tension the base well so it sits properly. Otherwise, the zippers, seams, cords—everything is good, a very good ultralight tent.
