Ultralight carbon fiber pole for tents and tarps that use trekking poles as support.
Folds into 5 sections, lightweight and very compact for ultralight hiking.
The ultralight carbon fiber pole from Six Moon Designs is designed for pitching tents and tarps that normally use trekking poles for support. It is a simple solution for hikers who do not use poles but still want to enjoy ultralight shelters.
Made from carbon fiber and divided into 5 sections, it offers an excellent balance of weight, stiffness, and packed size. Once disassembled, it takes up very little space inside your backpack.
Many ultralight tents and tarps use trekking poles as their main structure to save weight. However, not all hikers use poles on their trips.
In those cases, this pole allows you to pitch your shelter while maintaining nearly the same performance as a trekking pole, but with very low weight and a very compact packed size.
The pole is made up of 5 sections connected by an internal elastic cord for quick and easy setup. When folded, it measures approximately 38 cm, so it fits easily inside your backpack.
Carbon fiber provides excellent stiffness to handle shelter tension while keeping weight very low. It is also lighter than most equivalent poles made from aluminum.
Carbon fiber is a material widely used in ultralight hiking for its high strength-to-weight ratio. It makes it possible to build rigid structures at a much lower weight than other traditional materials.
As a result, this pole is ideal for shelters where every gram counts and packed volume also matters.
