Polycryo Groundsheet
The polycryo groundsheet is manufactured in the United States by Gossamer Gear and it will help keep dirt from the ground off your back and gear. Additionally, it prevents punctures to your inflatable mattress or tent caused by branches or rocks.
When to Use It
You will need a groundsheet depending on the type of shelter you have. Generally, when you purchase an ultralight tent, they already include a protective base to insulate you from the ground. But sometimes, it’s not enough, or they simply don’t include one, and adding a polycryo groundsheet makes sense.

Design
The polycryo groundsheet can be cut to any size with scissors to give it the dimensions and shape that best suit you. Moreover, it doesn’t fray, so hemming is not necessary.
But make sure it is shorter than the space occupied by the shelter itself. If it’s too large, the polycryo groundsheet will collect rainwater and store it under the tent.
Made of 1 Millimeter Polycryo
Polycryo is one of the lightest materials you can get with a reasonable level of strength and durability. It is made from a thin sheet of cross-linked polyolefin (polypropylene) 1 millimeter thick.
It is transparent and incredibly light. It is also highly resistant to tension, puncture, and tearing.
