These ultralight titanium tent stakes in V-shape are designed by Toaks Outdoors based in Thousand Oaks, Southern California (United States). They are ideal for use in loose soil terrains and provide better support against strong winds compared to thinner stakes like the Hook Peg.
Titanium is already a strong and extremely lightweight material. These stakes have 14 holes, which further reduce their weight and allow sand to circulate through them, keeping them stable. At the top, there is another hole to tie a cord.
To store your stakes inside the backpack and prevent them from soiling or wetting your clothes, we recommend using ultralight storage bags made of Cuben Fiber. You will find a model for stakes.
If your route takes you through places with continuous exposure to strong winds, it’s reasonable to use a complete set of 6 V-shaped stakes. This increases the weight, but ensures safety.
For normal conditions, save weight by using a combination of ultralight titanium stakes. Use 4 Hook Peg stakes plus 2 of these V-shaped stakes for additional anchoring on nights with strong winds.
We recommend using the tip of your boots. Press the stake into the ground with both hands for greater stability, using your body weight. If the ground is too hard to drive the stake, you can anchor them using rocks instead.
Another option is to partially insert the stakes into hard ground and then support them with rocks. The same goes if you want to anchor them in sandy beach soil. Use rocks, floating wood, etc. as anchors. There’s always a way to make it work with a little imagination 🙂

Excellent material, I added a brightly colored cord to make them easier to spot and pull out of the ground.

Very good product, they are super sturdy and perform very well against the tarp vibrations caused by the wind.

Strong and very lightweight stakes. A good rock works for driving them in.
Angel
Very light stakes for soft/loose ground; I use them for all the secondary points (the sides of the tarp or the extra points on the tent to secure it against the wind)

I bought these stakes to use with my old GoLite tent and save some weight. I recommend painting the head so you don’t lose them. They are extremely easy to drive into the ground and so far, the times I’ve used them, they have never come loose or bent.
