The The Two, made by Gossamer Gear, is an ultralight single-wall 2-person tent designed for trekking and camping with trekking poles. Its most distinctive feature is combining very low weight with two doors and two vestibules in a shareable format.
It requires two trekking poles or a set of 125 cm poles for setup. The tension adjustment allows you to fine-tune the pitch on uneven ground and make better use of the interior space.
When to use it
It makes sense for trekking trips where weight and pack size matter, but you do not want to move to a minimal one-person shelter. It also works well on multi-day routes where sharing a tent helps distribute the load.
It is best suited to users who are already comfortable with a single-wall tent and know how to manage condensation through ventilation and campsite selection.
Design
The floor plan offers 122 cm of width at the head, 107 cm at the foot, and 214 cm of length, with a maximum height of 125 cm. This layout leaves more usable space in the upper area while keeping a narrow profile at the foot to limit weight and packed volume.
It includes two doors, two vestibules, and two upper vents, plus retractable corner vents. The upper vents can be secured open or closed with Velcro, and the optional external tie-out points provide extra stability or a bit more interior volume.

The body uses Custom ClearSkies™ 15D recycled Robic fabric with 20D dope-dyed ripstop grid and a SIL/PU coating. This construction is designed to reduce weight without sacrificing high water resistance for a tent of this type, with factory-taped seams and no PFAS.

It’s an incredible tent: it’s very lightweight and takes up minimal space in my 50L Gossamer Gorilla backpack.
Super easy and practical to set up with trekking poles. The interior space is more than enough for two people and backpacks. There’s plenty of room to sit up without touching the tent with your head.
It also has generous space on the exterior sides to store gear protected from the weather.
It has withstood hailstorms and heavy rain with more than a notable grade.
It’s an excellent investment for your back and your safety.

After several uses, I can say I totally recommend it. It’s spacious (two people and a medium-sized dog with no problems) and very light. It remains to be seen how it performs in adverse weather conditions, but properly set up it shouldn’t cause any issues.
