The Thinlight ultralight insulation mat from Gossamer Gear (USA) prevents your sleeping pad from sliding when used inside the tent and adds an extra layer of protection.
When to Use
The Thinlight can be used as protection for your inflatable sleeping pad, extra back support in your backpack, a snow barrier, sunshade on sunny days, and more. It works in any weather condition, from desert areas to snowy mountains.
It is particularly useful to prevent the sleeping pad from slipping inside the tent (by placing it under the inflatable sleeping pad). You can also cut a small piece just for this purpose. Additionally, it serves as a puncture-resistant layer under an inflatable sleeping pad or as a cushion to sit on.
Design
The Thinlight is a very thin foam mat designed as an accessory: it enhances grip and protects your sleeping pad without adding weight.
It is available in several formats (rolled, foldable, and wide rolled). Exact dimensions for each version can be found in “Specifications”.
Made of PE/EVA Polyolefin
The Thinlight Foam Pad is made from a combination of PE/EVA Polyolefin. Polyolefin is a thermoplastic polymer known for its durability and resilience. EVA (Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate) is a flexible material with good shock absorption. Together, these materials create a lightweight, durable foam.
Its thickness is 3.2 mm, sufficient to add an extra layer of protection and insulation without adding significant weight.
