Shoulder Pouch

The Shoulder Pouch is made by Zpacks in Florida (USA). It is a small pocket that attaches directly to a backpack shoulder strap to keep the items you use most often during the hike always within easy reach.

Its size allows you to comfortably carry a mobile phone, GPS, compact camera, energy bars, gloves, or even a small water bottle without having to take off your backpack every time you need to access them.

When to use it

The Shoulder Pouch makes sense when you want quick access to your gear without stopping. It is especially useful on long routes where repeatedly taking off your backpack becomes inconvenient and wastes time.

Many hikers use it to carry their phone, camera, GPS, or food for the day. It can also hold a bottle of up to 500 ml, even helping to slightly balance the backpack load.

Design

It attaches to most backpacks using a combination of elastic bands and an upper anchor system that prevents excessive movement while hiking. It can be mounted on either shoulder strap.

Its main compartment features an elastic cord closure for quick one-handed access to the contents. On the front, it also has an exterior mesh pocket for storing small items such as a whistle, compass, or lip balm.

Made from Ultra 100

The Shoulder Pouch is made from Ultra 100 fabric, a very lightweight and durable material developed specifically for ultralight hiking gear. It offers excellent wear resistance while keeping weight to a minimum.

The outer fabric helps protect the contents from moisture and splashes. Although it handles light rain well, it is still recommended to use an additional dry bag to protect electronic devices during heavy rain.
