The Large V-shaped stake designed by TOAKS in California (United States) is a wider version of the standard model, for those looking for extra hold in soft or wet ground.
When to use it
It is ideal for camping on soft, wet or sandy ground, where a narrow stake can come loose easily. You can carry a few to reinforce the points of greatest tension on your shelter.
Design
The body has a V-shaped cross-section, with sides 14 mm wide. This shape offers a larger contact area with the ground than a straight stake.
The difference from the PEG-01 is the width of the profile, as both are 16.5 cm long. TOAKS lists both models for ground and snow, although it does not quantify the difference in holding power between them.
Made from titanium
Made from uncoated titanium, a very light, strong material with good resistance to moisture and corrosion.
