The Porter Bottle Holder for Nalgene®, made by Hyperlite Mountain Gear, is an external holder for carrying a Nalgene® bottle on Porter 40, 55, 70 and 85 packs. It frees up space in the main compartment and keeps the bottle on the outside.
It attaches to either side of the pack using the daisy chains. It is an accessory specific to the Porter system, not a universal bottle holder.
When to use it
It makes sense if you use a Porter and prefer to carry a Nalgene® bottle outside the pack, rather than storing it among the rest of your gear. It allows you to keep the interior free for food, insulation or other bulkier items.
It is a suitable choice for those already using a Porter 40, 55, 70 or 85 who are looking for this specific hydration setup. It does not fit packs without compatible daisy chains and is not intended for other bottles.
Design
The holder combines a side-release buckle with an elastic cord and cord lock. The buckle secures the assembly to the daisy chains, while the cord adjusts the bottle retention.
Its cylindrical shape, 17.8 cm high and 9.7 cm in diameter, is sized for a Nalgene® bottle. It can be fitted to the right or left side of the pack.
