This trail fanny pack is manufactured in Maine (United States) by Hyperlite Mountain Gear. It is a large-capacity fanny pack made with DCH where you can store medium-sized accessories.
Due to its minimalist design, some ultralight backpacks have pockets just big enough to store small accessories: a mobile phone, some nuts, or navigation equipment. But if you need more capacity, one solution is to carry a trail fanny pack like the Versa. It offers that extra boost to carry more without having to take off the backpack.
But where you’ll really notice the difference is when you need to move quickly to avoid being caught in the dark. Not having to stop to get equipment is essential.
It’s a large-capacity trail fanny pack with access to 3 pockets. A main one where you can store items like a compact camera, medicine, or maps. It also has a mesh pocket with a loop to hold keys, which acts as a divider. Another front pocket is ideal for carrying the mobile phone and small items.
Compared to other styles, the Versa trail fanny pack can easily be placed on the hip belt or on the chest strap. So you can use it while walking or when you’re at the campsite 🙂
Constructed with DCH50 (Dyneema Composite Hybrid), commonly known as Hybrid Cuben, it’s a fabric that’s highly water-resistant and very durable.
Dyneema is a high-performance material made from ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) fibers. It’s a fabric with high tensile strength, non-stretchable, water-resistant, and resistant to UV and chemicals.

I bought this under the assumption that it’d keep my camera dry. It didn’t. If you keep it exposed to rain for too long the meshy fabric at the back gets damped and water filters inside the main compartment through the bottom seam. Pretty bad design I would say, particularly for the price.
