Small Ultralight Wood Stove
This small ultralight wood stove is manufactured in California, USA, by Toaks Outdoor and is a smaller and lighter version of the large model.
Recognition: This wood stove was awarded the 2015 Industry Award by Friedrichshafen, Germany.
When to Use It
When you go on long trips where access to a fuel resupply point might be an issue, an ultralight wood stove can be a good solution. Why? Because fuel will be all around you. I explain it here. Plus, nothing beats the taste of food cooked over wood after an exhausting day.
There’s nothing particularly special to explain about its operation. It simply converts wood into a flame, even eliminating smoke. It might take you a little practice to master the burning and reviving process, but once you get the hang of it, you’ll find it quite easy and efficient.

Design
It consists of 3 pieces that fit perfectly and can stack inside each other. To prevent soot from soiling your gear when inside your backpack, it comes with an orange nylon carrying bag.
To keep the flame going long enough to boil water or cook food, you’ll need to gather pieces of wood about 7-10 cm long. That will fuel the stove for a good amount of time and, most importantly, can keep you warm in very cold nights or mornings for a longer time.
Made of Grade 1 and 2 Titanium
Titanium is an extremely lightweight and strong metal. It doesn’t rust or corrode with moisture, making it highly durable. Commercially pure titanium is usually not used, as it is blended with other metals to achieve better performance and reduce costs. I explain it here.
To distinguish the quality of each titanium alloy, they are divided into Grades regulated by an international organization called ASTM. Evernew uses a Grade 1 and 2 titanium alloy, with a thickness of only 3mm, considered the purest commercially available titanium with over 99% purity.

Funciona muy bien y se mantiene bastante estable cuando se calienta agua en un cazo. A ser de leña, no puedes usarlo dentro de la tienda, se llenaría de humo. Tienes que tenerlo fuera. Para que funcione bien es clave utilizar la madera adecuada, que no esté muy húmeda, si no le costará mucho. Por lo demás.. el titanio se ve muy bien, es fácil de limpiar, aunque es mejor llevar una bolsa para guardarla, por el tema de hollín.
