El ultralight quilt Revelation 850 from Enlightened Equipment, made in Minnesota (USA), is a very well-balanced option for those who want to sleep more comfortably and cut weight compared to a conventional sleeping bag.
It uses 850 fill-power duck down, a light, compressible option that’s more affordable than the 950 version. It makes sense if you want a versatile quilt for hiking, thru-hikes, and 3-season trips without necessarily going for the most extreme option.

Design
One of the reasons Revelation is so popular is its U-shaped design, intended to help keep the down evenly distributed and prevent it from shifting to the sides and creating cold spots.
In the footbox area it features a zipper, snaps, and a drawcord closure to retain heat more effectively. If it’s warm, you can open it completely; if temperatures drop, you close the bottom and use it more like a sleeping bag.

The Revelation 850 uses 850 fill power duck down with RDS certification. It’s a high-quality fill—light and highly compressible—designed to provide solid warmth without driving up weight or price.
The outer fabric is 10-denier ripstop nylon, lightweight and breathable, with a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) treatment to help moisture bead and roll off the fabric surface.
