La lightweight tent The Two made by Gosssamer Gear weighs and packs down so small that you can carry it in your backpack without significantly increasing your base weight.
Design
The Two is spacious enough for 2 people, and you can sit up without feeling cramped. For easy access, it has 2 separate side entrances with vestibules large enough to store all your gear.
To keep weight as low as possible, it is built as a single-wall shelter. That is, the outer fabric, bug netting, and tent floor are sewn into one piece. A clothesline runs along the ceiling, along with a hook to hang your headlamp. An internal mesh pocket is ideal for storing your essentials.

Easy to pitch
You can use 2 carbon fiber poles or your own trekking poles (set to 125 cm) to pitch it (not included). These are placed on the sides, and together with the 6 stake-out points you get a stable, secure shelter.
Made from 10D SIL/UTS nylon
The Two is made from high-density 10-denier nylon fabric, silicone-impregnated on one side (Sil) and a UTS (Ultra Tear Strength) blend on the other.
Silicone is a hydrophobic material (it repels water), resulting in a highly waterproof fabric. UTL is an improved alternative to polyurethane (Pu) coating. Together, they make the nylon very elastic and resistant to pulls and tears.

It’s an incredible tent: it’s very lightweight and takes up minimal space in my 50L Gossamer Gorilla backpack.
Super easy and practical to set up with trekking poles. The interior space is more than enough for two people and backpacks. There’s plenty of room to sit up without touching the tent with your head.
It also has generous space on the exterior sides to store gear protected from the weather.
It has withstood hailstorms and heavy rain with more than a notable grade.
It’s an excellent investment for your back and your safety.

After several uses, I can say I totally recommend it. It’s spacious (two people and a medium-sized dog with no problems) and very light. It remains to be seen how it performs in adverse weather conditions, but properly set up it shouldn’t cause any issues.
