Ultralight Tent
The One is manufactured by Gossamer Gear in Texas, United States. It is surprisingly lightweight and spacious enough to provide comfort for one person. It is one of the best single-wall ultralight tents you will find.
When to use it
The One ultralight tent is a 1-person shelter that you can primarily use in 3 seasons (spring, summer, and fall). It requires 2 trekking poles to set up, or if you’re not accustomed to using trekking poles, you will need 2 carbon fiber poles measuring 125cm (not included).
It comes with 6 aluminum stakes to secure it to the ground, and additionally, you will find 4 extra guy lines that help increase its resistance in strong wind conditions.

Design
It has good interior space and a quite spacious front vestibule that creates a protected area to store all your gear. Additionally, in this new version, all the seams are factory-sealed, making it even more durable and waterproof 🙂
Similar to its “big sister” The Two, it features a large interior mesh pocket for storing small items. It also has a clothesline for hanging a flashlight or drying your socks.

Made of 10D SIL/PU Nylon
To keep the weight low, The One is constructed with a high-density 10-denier nylon fabric coated with silicone on one side (Sil) and a blend of UTS (Ultra Tear Strength) on the other.
Silicone is a hydrophobic material (repels water), resulting in a highly waterproof fabric. UTS is an improved alternative to Polyurethane (PU) coating. Together, they make the nylon fabric very elastic and resistant to pulls and tears.

The best thing about this tent is how lightweight it is and how little space it takes up inside my backpack. At first, setting it up with trekking poles was a bit difficult for me; you have to tension the base well so it sits properly. Otherwise, the zippers, seams, cords—everything is good, a very good ultralight tent.
