Ultralight Titanium Cup

The American company Toaks Outdoors has been a reference in the world of ultralight hiking since 2011. The ultralight titanium cup with a capacity of 375ml is just the right size for making your morning coffee or evening tea.

When to Use It

For a long time, we have used this ultralight titanium cup on our adventures. If you’re as much of a purist as we are, you’ll be interested to know that we have stored an alcohol stove, like the one we sell from Evernew, inside it. In addition to a lighter, a towel, and a foldable fork 🙂 Everything fits inside.

However, if for any reason you wanted to use this cup as a water heating base, you’ll need to purchase the D80mm lid. The reason is obvious: when covered, the steam does not escape, so the temperature rises more quickly, causing the liquids to reach boiling point faster. This way, you save fuel and time.

Design

As is customary in Toaks Outdoor products, the lower edges are rounded. This facilitates cleaning and improves thermal efficiency. The handles fold for more practical and compact storage. Additionally, titanium does not impart a metallic taste or odor and is much stronger and more durable than aluminum.

Titanium has low thermal conductivity, so it cools quickly. You can rest assured when bringing the cup to your lips. Even if the contents are hot, the edge not in contact with the liquid will remain warm.

Made of Grade 1 and 2 Titanium

Titanium is an extremely lightweight and durable metal. It does not rust or corrode with moisture, making it highly durable. Pure titanium is not typically used commercially and is mixed with other metals to create alloys with better performance and to reduce costs. Learn more here.

To distinguish the quality of each titanium alloy, they are divided into grades regulated by an international organization called ASTM. Evernew uses Grade 1 and 2 titanium alloy without coating, with a thickness of only 3mm, considered as the purest commercially available titanium with over 99% purity.
